Campus Space Use Study
The University of Arkansas, in partnership with SmithGroup, is conducting a campus space use study to evaluate how classroom, research, and administrative space is used across campus. The study began in January 2024 and will end in December 2024.
As part of the study, representatives from the U of A Facilities Management, the Office of the Provost and SmithGroup visited more than 100 buildings on campus to gather information. Faculty, staff and students were also asked to provide feedback on how space is used through surveys and in-person meetings.
At the end of the study, SmithGroup will present recommendations to campus for consideration.
For more information on the study, contact Natalie Emmons, campus project coordinator and director of strategic academic affairs, at nemmons@uark.edu.
