The Office of the Provost oversees the Office for Faculty Affairs, professional development, leadership development, faculty recognition, faculty governance and more. The Office of the Provost  works closely with the colleges and academic units on campus to support faculty at every stage in their career.




Office for Faculty Affairs

The Office for Faculty Affairs oversees the recruitment, hiring, recognition, retention, professional development and programs for all faculty in collaboration with the colleges and academic units.

Faculty Programs

Professional development, programs and other resources are provided by Faculty Affairs, the Teaching Faculty and Support Center (TFSC), TIPS and others across campus.

Faculty Recognition

The University of Arkansas recognizes its faculty through many awards.  Faculty can nominate their peers or departments for these awards.

Promotion & Tenure

Faculty can view acadmic policies and UA System Board of Trustee policies related to promotion and tenure.

Faculty Handbook

The handbook is a collection of information about the university from many sources including Board of Trustees policy statements, Fayetteville Policies and Procedures, and Academic Policies.

Faculty Senate

Faculty Senate meets on a monthly basis during the academic year and is composed of six executive offices and 45 voting senators.

Academic Integrity

The Office for Academic Initiatives and Integrity works to create a culture of honesty and personal and professional responsibility among University of Arkansas students, faculty, and staff.

Course Evaluations

Student evaluation of teaching is required each semester by the Arkansas Higher Education Coordinating Board and UA System Board of Trustees.
